We truly want to help you make the very most of your move, so here are some suggested items for you to do prior to your move!

ONE MONTH before your move:

• Decide on the items you wish to discard, donate or keep
• Begin packing those items you wish to keep and schedule pick-up for your donated items.
• Schedule for your utility services to be disconnected at your old residence AFTER your move and schedule your new services to be connected PRIOR to your move.

ONE WEEK before your move:

• Complete all of your self-packing and label all of your boxes
• Purchase any necessary furniture pads and straps (if applicable)
• Confirm your closing and move dates
• Notify Box & Dolly of any date changes
• Check to see if you have the correct cords to connect your appliances in your new location
• Begin sorting through personal items that will not be packed
• Schedule all additional services, i.e. cleaning, painting, yard work, etc. AFTER your move date. DO NOT schedule any additional services on your move date!

DAY OF YOUR MOVE:

• Secure ALL of your valuables
• Secure your pets
• Dust your furniture...do NOT polish!
• Separate personal items from those items that will be moved or packed that day
• Leave paintings and pictures on the wall to help keep them out of the way
• Unplug all appliances and electronics (especially your washers and dryers)
• DO NOT schedule any services to be disconnected on the day of your move! Check to make sure they won't be disconnected!
